Welcome to 'Turkey and Golf'

This year's Golden Spider Web Contest has awarded TurkeyandGolf as the third among sport portals. With scuba diving deservedly listed as the first, we take pride in having this award at a stage when golf is only in its infancy. Our success within the first month of our web site, has been encouraging and has given us confidence that golf in Turkey is already highly recognised.

We believe golf will soon be contributing to the country's tourism industry, to keep level with scuba diving. The Golden Spider Web Award will be the evidence of our efforts towards this aim and a prize to cherish both in Turkey and abroad.

Between July 19 and 20, Kemer Golf & Country Club will host Royal Cromer Golf Club members. Match plays will be organised during these two days between pairs of players. The occasion will no doubt be an entertaining, courteous activity to help golf in Turkey gain popularity among foreign golfers and an opportunity for golfers from the two countries to meet.

Klassis will be the venue for EGA Club Cup Trophy organised by the European Golf Association between 30 October and 2 November.

Turkey is no doubt the most appropriate centre for autumn golf events and Klassis is the first professional golf course built in Turkey in 1994, happy to host this international organisation in Turkey together with many more in the future.
